Marshall, Ind -- Hubert Delp, 74, a resident of Grange Corner on Marshall Rt 1, died at 10 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 1977 at his home. He had been ill some time. A retired farmer, he was active in the Democratic Party and had served as Sugar Creek Twp. trustee from 1950 to 1958. He was a member of the Sportsmen Club. Friends Union Club, I & I Fox Hunter Association and APA Trap Shooters Association. Born June 21, 1903 in Sugar Creek Twp, he was the son of Juel and MInnie Leona Dotson Delp. He was married to Myrtle Mickell May 3, 1921 who survives. They have spent the winters in Florida for the past 20 years. Other survivors include two sons, Donald M. and Bobby E, both of Marshall Rural route; two daughters, Mrs. Wallace (Dorothea) Crowder of Veedersburg and Mrs. Robert (Julia Ellen) Knox of Venice, Fla; a sister, Mrs. Doris Grimes of Waveland; an aunt, two uncles, 11 grandchildren and 12 greats. He also was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Ruby Philpott of Kingman . Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wolf Creek Church south of Wallace. The Rev. Noble Carithers and Rev. Kenneth Salin will officiate. Burial will be in the church cem. The body will be taken to the church an hour before services. Friends will be received after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown.
